As a new member of the LCG Library Committee, I decided to renew my acquaintance with our five libraries. Most of us are familiar with the Lakeside and Fairway libraries as great sources for books and information. Are you aware that both have magnifying reading aids for those who have eyesight limitations? There are also computers with convenient access to the portal and the Dakim BrainFit computers are located in Lakeside and Fairway libraries. There is also a section of books written by resident authors. Take time to peruse the special interest sections: Poetry, Animal Stories, Biography, Political, Religion and Large Print.

Gardenview Library is a cozy room with comfy chairs and (usually) a puzzle in the works where one can get away to enjoy quiet time. It is located near the north end of the building opposite the pond.

Hillside Library is near the east-facing door across from the Rose Garden. It may have just what you are looking for. It’s a little gem tucked away for a quiet reading opportunity.

The Parkside AV Library is found at the north end on the first floor and has a wide collection of DVDs, music CDs, Audio Books and “The Great Courses” series. Like puzzles? You’ll be amazed at the selection of jigsaws the library has. Stop in and give it a look-see.

Page 38 in our Resident Handbook will provide you with all the official information about our fine libraries. Enjoy!
