Understand the Costs
Residents pay for a life plan community like La Costa Glen, in a different way than they would pay for a traditional single-family home or rental apartment. Residents pay a one-time, highly repayable entrance fee and a monthly fee. These fees cover services and amenities, plus priority access to the adjacent health center for assisted living, memory care and long-term care in a skilled nursing center, if ever needed.
A plan that includes a lifetime of care makes sense.
But don’t take our word for it, compare your options below
Entrance Fee
An investment towards complete peace of mind.
La Costa Glen residents pay a one-time highly repayable entrance fee upon move-in. The price is based on the size and location of the home they select, and most of this entrance fee is repayable to the resident or their estate. Many residents use the proceeds from the sale of their current home to pay their repayable entrance fee. At La Costa Glen, the fees start in the $400,000s and can be over $2,000,000 for our largest homes.
Monthly Fee
Includes nearly everything – there’s no better value.
For those who take the time to do the math, La Costa Glen can prove to be a compelling value. With priority access to the adjacent health center or assisted living, memory care, and long-term, in a skilled nursing center, if ever needed, is a lasting benefit of a well-planned retirement.
An accurate understanding of which services and amenities are included is important to seeing the full value. Many of the perks at La Costa Glen are not standard fare at other Southern California retirement communities. These include meals at restaurants, housekeeping and landscaping maintenance, entertainment and transportation services, pickleball and tennis, movie theater, aquatic center, hobby shop, health spa, and other on-site attractions.
In addition to simplifying their finances, La Costa Glen residents are no longer responsible for property taxes, HOA charges, real estate insurance, or most of their utilities – and a portion of the fees paid to a Life Plan Community may be tax deductible, meaning you can potentially receive a tax return as a prepaid medical expense, but always consult with your tax advisor for details on this possible benefit.
